Glossary

Performance: A type of event. Any instance of a performance that we deliver. One theatre piece that has 10 performances = 10 events.
Pipeline: Code which extracts and processes data.
Presented: Work and/or performances not produced or commissioned by Bradford but presented as part of the 2025 programme
Produced: Projects that are developed and delivered by the Bradford 2025 producing team.
Social Prescribing: Social prescribing is a key component of Universal Personalised Care. It is an approach that connects people to activities, groups, and services in their community to meet the practical, social and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing.
Social media: Any digital technology that allows people to share ideas, information and thoughts via online communities and networks.
Socially Engaged (practice / practitioners): Describes art that is collaborative, participatory and involves people as the medium or material of the work. Establishes a meaningful connection with the people as part of the work.
Streaming: Any media content (live or recorded) delivered to computers and mobile devices via the intranet and played back in real time. Streaming operates on a one-to-one basis, allowing audiences to access content at their convenience (on-demand).
Streaming audiences: Those who experience recorded or live content delivered to a device via the intranet.
Talent development: Activity that supports professional development in the cultural/ heritage/ education sector.
